I've gotten bored// irritated of blogging.

It's not a safe place for my thoughts anymore.

and it seems to be more about networking and getting your "helpful hints" pinned.

Blah.

Maybe its time to retire the blog.

a list

It's weird.

i'm stressed.

but there isnt one facet of life that's stressing me out,

just a plethora.

school, where to live, acting, singing, money, time, you name it.

on their own, each is not big deal.

together, stressful.

i decided to make a list of what is stressing me the F out.

it made me feel a little better.

then i made a to do list.

and a mini budget.

but i feel more in control.

not so cray.

my camera

& thank you for the overwhelming amount of advice.
i thought for certain i would buy the nikon d3000 until i played around with it and decided that i was too overwhelmed by features and stuff.
as we walked out, i spotted the sony nex-3 and played around with it because it looked interesting.
long story short, we were back in a couple weeks and bought the thing.
we researched it and decided it was the best fit for us.
i didnt think size would matter until a pointed out how much we'll be traveling in the next year. so basically we love the size, its got some cool features and is user friendly.

yay for a camera.
and for my threesixfive project hiatus to end..whoops.

i like summer

you heard me complain all last summer about how bad a time i was having.
perhaps you thought i'd just had an attitude adjustment in the past year.

wrong.

its just that i am having a good summer.
i really wanted you guys to know, because i didnt want virginia to leave a bad taste in your mouth.
it is the most beautiful. trees everywhere.
and it's so hot and humid, which i adore.
lightening bugs. and lightening storms.
a deck that i can sun myself on.
places and races to run.

and i love the area we live in.
chesapeake is a great community and is close to all the big city stuff.
i am obsessed with it.
and a HUGE library system
and the beach..it is my favorite thing.
so are all the amazing places to dine.
and a job that i enjoy with a great boss and easy work.

i just needed to shed a little light on that subject, most of all so that i will remember the little things that are so great 2300 miles from home.

I've decided its time to upgrade from my iphone camera to something a little more camera and a little less..phone. Although awesome, I want something that takes good pictures without having to filter it. I've heard that if you're in the market, a Nikon is definitely the one to get.
I was thinking the D3000.

Who's got an opinion, advice or knowledge? I would love to hear it.

chicken taco. chicken taco BOOM BOOM

this is my favorite thing ever. so i thought i must share.

its my favorite thing to make because its super easy and also amazing.

alan and i both like tacos, but chicken tacos are great.

and these chicken tacos are amazing.

and easy!

here's what you need:

taco filling:

1lb boneless skinless chicken tenders

1 can of chicken broth

1 chicken taco seasoning packet

tacos:

1 box of taco shells

lettuce

cheese

tomatos {i used pico that i got from the farm fresh salad bar}

whatever else you like to top tacos..i think squeezing a lime over the tacos would be so delicious too, so experiment. yum.

put the chicken, broth and seasoning packet into a crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8. Shred the chicken and then dish the filling into a taco shell with a slotted spoon.

putting together a taco is pretty self explanitory, so i'll leave you there.

its seriously so good and easy. you cant mess it up.

seriously, everytime i sit down to write some of my paper, study or practice conducting, I end up writing a blog, finding pictures i really like, or online shopping. Enjoy my procrastination.

I went ahead and got the Asics.

I ran in them today and they were glorious.

My bracket is shaping up amazingly.

If Gonzaga beats BYU, it will be glorious.

This pig heater is obviously amazing, random.

And Glorious.

Spring break started today.

I like these pictures. They remind me that even when I'm having a rough few days (falling on the ice, multiple times, Teachers who call me retarded, mid-term week..etc.) things are still good and relatively easy. Even on Monday.

I've been having a thought

... I think if i treat the whole week like a weekend, then I will like the week a whole lot better. Seriously, I think this is why I would love to veg on the couch for at least 3 days and have my husband cater Costa Vida to me once every 12 hours with Chocolate Shakes and sandwiches in between.

By the way, my picture has nothing to do with anything. I think my lack of gumption to do anything is appearing in every facet of my life. Including this one..obviously I'm having a hard time formulating this post.

My flowers

I've been working really hard to get all of the fun things that I want done before my time must be dedicated to school....

For Christmas I made all the girls in the family a Rose flower accessory. I made necklaces, Pins and headbands....

Today I made a headband for myself and a few rings out of some scraps of material.

I know I will miss being able to take up whatever crafts I feel like until summer.

And because I am always looking for something to waste my time on, or use to divert my attention away from school work, naturally i was attracted to this project.

{I know you are now grumbling in your mind about my inconsistencies on this blog. I wont deny it....all the more reason for me to try}.

Anyway, I made a button on the right side of my blog to connect to a special picture blog. {yes, I did this while putting off memorizing French. I told you, I love the diversion}

The blog itself is in its very beginning stages, so don't go pressing the button. yet.

I just set it up to see if it would work.

It will be set up and and pretty January 1st, when the 365 days start:)

I few weeks ago I was mourning my drab closet and wishing I could add some pieces to my wardrobe. Alan and I drove to IDaho Falls and bought me a pair of flats, a tank top and a skirt.

That same week I began to lament again. I had worn those items and ended back at stupid square one. And this time I didn't want to blow an extensive amount of money.

I've been on a thrifting kick and I've come up with some amazing items.
