We were lucky enough that Homeshield hooked us up for all our hard work this summer and took us on a cruise for free!
We saw Mexico, Honduras and the Cayman Islands on a seven day cruise that was a trip of a lifetime. So much fun. However, being that i dont have internet {still}, i'll give you the condensed version.

a little bit of Lately

Lately has not been very kind to us.

She's actually pretty suckish.

But let me just say that we are both aware of how much are lives are blessed and that our trials serve to strengthen us as individuals and as a couple.

To distract from Lately's unkindness, I thought I'd feature our week(ish) in pictures. Pictures seem to reflect the good times (at least according to my iPhone..) and what better way to blog than pretend like everything is just dandy?! (P.s. I DO NOT use words like 'dandy')

Birthday Pictures: I love the first because I look like a real big brat..

My parents also gave me a really gorgeous necklace and some cash. $$

Avrie! She came to visit and she was definately a blast. We love her.

Not super sure what relevance this picture has, other than it's Minnie...and she really likes to lay IN my homework WHILE I do it.

And here's ALan at the Hospital pre surgery. At this point, his mom and I were laughing at him (he's posing for this obnoxious picture..) He was out of pain and on some strong drugs..and he looked silly. I'm so glad he's home and feeling a little better.

what took you so long?

I'm turning 21. {sunday}

The number is pretty insignificant, really. {cause...}

I'm LDS and I don't drink. {or do drugs}

I do, however, party. {Theres a difference if you didnt know.}

..and Its gunna get crazy! {probably in a really mormon way}

Life update

There's not alot going on in our little family of 2.

BUT

We did purchase Glee and watched the whole season in less than 24 hours-ish.

ANNNd I got a check + (which is an A in Dr. EArles speak) on a 12 Bar blues piece i had to write. also, he played it in class and i was extremely proud of myself:)

ANNNNNd Al got a 94% on his advertising test....yay!

Our spirits are high right now which is really nice. School tends to make me high strung, hard to live with, and quite frankly a little ill. (Which would explain the sinus infection that has found my nasal cavity to be prime breeding ground. How's that for dick-scusting?) But for now, with all of the crazy work that is thrown at us until the break of spring, we are surviving. That is, until i get my english test back. I had little interest in the short story segment and thus ended up filling the blanks with fight club quotes and characters from the Office. At least it was entertaining.

Also, for the one person that might read this: if you are a choir nerd and think Robert Shaw is amazing...(Ali Walker..do you still read this??) here is a book that i am obsessed with...and furthermore am purchsing at the conclusion of this post:





























This thing is amazing! Its a book filled with letters written by the late Robert Shaw to his choirs.
Ok, so it might sound pretty lame, but the way he talks about music is magical...and the way he talked about Brahms German Requiem...well thats for another post entirely. I LOOOVE it.

2 days of crazy

Yes, the last day has been ridiculous. These events transpired:

• 9:00 am yesterday morning. Headed down to Idaho Falls with ALAN.
• 12:30. bridal shower put on by some ladies in my home ward. They were very generous and gave me LOTS of great things.
• 3:00. Wedding errands with meine Mutter. Wore me out!
• 6:00. met the photographer. planned out the wedding day. one word: hectic. ahhh!
• 7:30. Finished up Christmas shopping and got on my way back to Pocatello with alan.
• 9:00. Slid into cement barrier with Alan less than a mile from his house. And might I mention that we were extremely lucky not to have been badly injured. Alan's Jeep emerged without a scratch, besides a messed up alignment. Alan did not get hurt, and my back and neck are a little out, but nothing serious at all. Did i mention we were lucky?
• 11:00 am today. Started moving into our new apartment. We are exhausted and we still have alans stuff to move in. So far, only ALL my shiz is there. and there was a ton! As I type, Al is packing up his room and i am relaxing on here. We'll be here for a while. HA

Anywayzzzzzz, i this it is safe to say that the next 10 days will go by quickly, which of course lead to the day we get married. I feel like maybe i should make a separate celebratory post of the 10 day mark. Getting on it..ready, set, now!!!
