party+ boise

we got to go the the Boise game on friday.
Boise is seriously the best.
i miss living there.
On saturday, we spent the day tailgating and cheering on the broncos.
it was super hot and sunny.
{why is it soo much warmer there?}
but it was so so fun to attend a college function that was actually crazy and fun.

On sunday, we visited two of our amazing friends.
I got to meet Alan's mission companion and he met my oldest friend, Roni.
Nothing is as good as hanging out with great friends.

it was a great time!
Hopefully, we'll be back soon

the rest of new york

most of these pictures are of times square and the theater district.
we saw Chicago and seriously, it was amazing.
{my ultimate dream is to perform in a professional setting. broadway was nothing less than what i expected}

..this little cupcake place made my day. and the cupcakes were so little and cute!

shake shack. yummy fries, a divine burger and a reallllllllly good shake. I crave it daily. can you tell i'm obsessed with food?

the statue. we didnt go out to the island, but we did get to see it.

Oh my goodies, new york is the best.
we were both a little starstruck and fell in love with the city.

maybe we'll come back for a longer stay..
one of these days.

wall st. and ground zero

we ventured down wall st. so alan could be amidst all the important buisness going down in NYC. It was pretty cool. definitely the place a business man dreams of.
We also experienced ground zero, which was a little bit crazy.
You cant really see the hole in the ground, but
it had a really solemn vibe and i couldn't believe that the 9/11 attacks happened where i was standing.

{we decided this is the epitome of our relationship...where wall meets broadway.}

{ground zero}

a few pictures from central park

we got off the subway and our first stop was central park. I'm in love. I was envious of all the runners that were running the park. it would be amazing. {is it okay that i am obsessed with new york and i want want want to live there? even with the pee smell in the subway. obsessed}
Here are a few pictures of us in the park. Also, we had this amazing pizza somewhere on lexington ave. NY pizza at its very best

a few philly pictures

we stopped in Philadelphia for a few hours on our way to new york.
we tried some cheese steaks and visited the liberty bell.

Its a weird city. real dirty.
probably not my favorite, but there is a huge area downtown devoted to the arts.
:)

photo uploader is being belig.
so here's one.
i have photos to share, and i wanted to get it done before school tomorrow....
but i guess thats not happening.

anyway, we had a good drive home.
new york was absolutely wonderful.
i'm obsessed.

& yes, school tomorrow.
i am actually pretty excited about it.
i'm taking an acting class, play analysis and dance aesthetics.
its some change, and i'm heading in the direction {musical theater} that i really want to.
i'm keeping up with the music though and i've got my fingers crossed for a good and successful school year.

here's to that!

bits of lately

we're down to our last week in Virginia and we've been trying to get in every last thing we want to do before we peace out.
last thursday, our office took us to busch gardens for the day.
then yesterday, we visited a ward in richmond that alan served in for a couple of transfers.

so we've been busy and traveling around VA.
i really dislike being preoccupied, so i took a few iphone pictures of busch gardens and no pictures of richmond. i've become extremely lazy and careless and its cool.
but i need to get that out of my system before i take on another semester.

so yeah...lots happening, but somehow, not lots to report.

a trip to washtington dc

{a restaurant on the potomac}

yesterday we had the great fortune to drive up to the district. can i just say that i am absolutely smitten with dc? it has the coolest vibe. we spent most of our time in less touristy areas, but we did venture into the mall a bit. dc is such a beautiful place, even outside the monumental wonders in the heart of the district.

clockwise from right: georgetown cupcakes menu. a quirky sign in georgetown.
our dc cupcakes. and me with our cute cupcake bag.

below:
a delicious margerita pizza from pizzaria paradiso.
it was authentic italian and so tasty

first from the top: Holocaust museum. very stunning, not to mention crazy big. i'm a little obsessed with the Holocaust and found it so heartbreaking and unbelievable.
second from the top: WWII memorial

the lincoln memorial. very cool to see in real life.

this place was on capital hill. talk about good fries. and they had mango mayo, which sounds scary, but is real good on fries. i'm a little in love with capital hill. the houses are so cute and quaint.

we stopped at pinkberry on our way out of town because it was probably second on my list of things to do...nevermind arriving at home at 3:00 am. i really like frozen yogurt, but in idaho the fad is a cool setup and not a great product. i love the original fro yo. it was unreal. you may think you like frozen yogurt, but this is just a different experience. for 120 calories ;)

we adore dc. we will be back
